Golden Wolves Down Monarchs, 7-0

Wilkes-Barre, Pa. (March 21, 2026) - Alvernia University (2-2) took down King's College (0-4), 7-0, Saturday afternoon in a non-conference women's tennis match at King's.

The Golden Wolves swept the doubles matches to grab the doubles point and then swept all six singles matches to secure the 7-0 victory.

Jillian Laughman and Jamielyn Kelley teamed up to take down the #1 doubles pairing of Kim Dinh and Cerlee Dellose, 7-5.

Adelynn Steffey and Jennah DeGout played as Alvernia's #2 doubles team and took down Elizabeth Allen and Miley Caetano, 6-2, to secure the second doubles match victory for Alvernia.

Nicolina Schlesser and Grace Dobrzynski rounded out the doubles victories for the Golden Wolves with a 6-3 victory in the #3 doubles match and secured the doubles point for Alvernia.

Laughman then took down Cerlee, 6-1, 6-0, in the #1 singles match and Steffey bested Allen in the #2 singles match, 6-1, 6-4.

Kelley downed Dinh in the #3 singles match in a tie breaker after a 6-1, 7-6 match. Kelley took the second set tiebreaker by a score of 8-6.

DeGout downed Caetano in the #4 match, 7-5, 6-0, Dobrzynski recorded a 6-1, 6-1 win in the #5 match and Jordyn Ingelido secured the sweep in the #6 match with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Madeline Sirianni.

The Golden Wolves are back in action next Saturday when they host Messiah in a MAC Commonwealth matchup with the Falcons at 1:00 PM at the Mifflin Courts.
