BOX SCORE Middletown, Pa. (March 24, 2026) - Alvernia University (2-3) dropped a non-conference women's tennis matchup to Penn State Harrisburg (2-3), 6-1, Tuesday evening at Penn State Harrisburg's Hoverter Tennis Complex. 

The #1 doubles pairing of Jillian Laughman and Jamielyn Kelley took down PSU Harrisburg's pairing of Ava Shepps and Kiersten Strohecker, 6-4. Harrisburg then secured the doubles point with victories at the #2 and #3 doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead in the match. 

Laughman grabbed the only singles point for the Golden Wolves after defeating Shepps from Harrisburg, 6-0, 6-2, in the #1 singles match. 

The Lions would then take the final five singles matches to secure the 6-1 victory for the Lions. 

Alvernia is back in action on Saturday when they host Messiah in a MAC Commonwealth match with the Falcons at 1:00 PM at Mifflin Courts.
