Mueller, Williams Lead Golden Wolves in Round One of F&M’s Spring Invitational

Lancaster, Pa. (April 19, 2026) - Brock Mueller and Shawn Williams led Alvernia University in round one of F&M's Spring Invitational Sunday at Bent Creek Country Club in Lancaster.

The Golden Wolves rolled out two teams of five for the two day tournament. The team of Shawn Williams, Zachary Neuin, Matthew Overholt, Chase Smith and Kenton Lightburn posted a team score of 310 and are in solo third place. The second squad for the Golden Wolves consisted of Jacob DeWitt, Brock Mueller, Matt Davies, Jakob Chapman and Matthew Gagliardi and posted a score of 329 and are in a tie for 13th place after round one.

Williams fired in the low round for the Golden Wolves with a three over round of 74. Williams is currently in a tie for fifth place after round one and carded two birdies, nine pars and an eagle at the par five 12th. Williams carded a 36 on the front nine and a 38 on the back nine en route to the round of 74.

Mueller led the second Alvernia squad in round one and tallied the second best round of the day with a four over round of 75. Mueller carded a 38 on the front nine with five pars and a birdie at the par three second hole. Mueller then fired in a one over 37 on the back nine and pared eight of the nine holes and carded just one bogey on the 16th en route to the round one 75. Mueller is in a tie for seventh place heading into Monday.

Smith recorded a Sunday round of 78 and is in a tie for 22nd place. Smith tallied eight pars and three birdies on the day. Smith posted a 38 on the front nine and carded a 40 on the back en route to the seven over 78.

Lightburn also fired in a first round score of 78 and is also in a tie for 22nd place. Lightburn carded a 38 on the front nine and a 40 on the back nine and carded 13 pars, including a stretch of seven in a row on the front nine.

Neuin carded an 80 in round one and is in a tie for 33rd place. Neuin carded eight pars and one birde at the 14th. Neuin carded a 39 on the front nine and a 41 on the back en route to the nine over round of 80.

Overholt posted an 80 as well on Sunday and tallied a 37 on the front nine with a birdie and five pars. Overholt recorded four pars and a birdie on the back nine but had bogeys and a big number hamper his round and carded a 43 on the back en route to the 80. Overholt is also in a tie for 33rd place heading into Monday.

Davies and Chapman both recorded rounds of 84 on Sunday and are in a tie for 50th place after round one. Davies carded a 41 on the front nine with seven pars, including a string of six pars in a row. Davies then tallied a 43 on the back nine and carded one par and a birdie at the par three 15th. Chapman posted a 40 on the front nine with three pars and a birdie at the eighth. Chapman tallied five pars and a birdie at the par five 12th but two big numbers saw him card a 44 on the back nine and post an 84 on the day.

DeWitt posted a round one score of 86 and carded a 44 on the front nine and a 42 on the back nine. DeWitt carded seven pars on the day and birdied the par four 11th. DeWitt is in tie for 55th place after day one.

Gagliardi recorded a round one score of 88 and is in a tie for 60th place. Gagliardi carded nines of 44 on the front and back nine and tallied five pars and a birdie on the day.

Alvernia is back in action tomorrow for round two of the F&M Spring Invitational at Bent Creek Country Club at 12:00 PM.
