Lancaster, Pa. (April 20, 2026) - Alvernia Men's Golf wrapped up its showing on Monday at day two of the Franklin and Marshall Invitational hosted at Bent Creek Country Club in Lancaster, Pa.
Alvernia sent two teams to Bent Creek. Alvernia's A squad took fifth place following a team score of 324 on Monday for a two-day score of 634. The B squad finished in 15th with a Monday score of 348 for a two-day total of 677.
Alvernia's A Team was made up of Shawn Williams, Zachary Neuin, Matthew Overholt, Chase Smith, and Kenton Lightburn. The B Team was comprised of Jacob DeWitt, Brock Mueller, Matt Davies, Jakob Chapman, and Matthew Gagliardi.
Williams was the top-finisher for the Golden Wolves, finishing in a tie for 14th with a two-day total of 155. Williams fired an 81 on Monday, playing both the front and back nine at 5-over. He posted birdies on the par five 9th and par four 16th. Williams finished his day eight pars.
Zach Neuin finished in second for Alvernia and in a tie for 21st overall. He carded Alvernia's low round of the day on Monday with a second round score of 77. Neuin finished with a two-day total of 157. Neuin played the front nine on Monday at 5-over with five pars and four bogeys. He followed with a 2-over 38 on the back nine that included five pars and a birdie on the par five 12th.
Chase Smith finished in third for Alvernia and in 33rd overall with a two-day total of 161. Smith posted an 83 on day two. He posted birdies on both the seventh and ninth holes and finished his round with five total pars.
Matthew Overholt rounded out the counting scores for Alvernia's A team, taking T-35th with a two-day total of 163. Overholt posted an 83 on Monday with eight pars and a birdie on the par five 18th.
Jacob DeWitt led Alvernia's B Squad with a two-day total of 164 to finish in a tie for 39th. DeWitt posted a 78 on day two, improving his day one score by eight strokes. DeWitt played the front nine at 1-over 36 with four pars and birdies on both the 7th and 9th holes. He carded a back-nine 42 with a birdie on the 11th and four additional pars.
Brock Mueller finished in a tie for 51st with a two-day total of 168, and Kenton Lightburn finished one stroke back with a two-day total of 169 to finish in a tie for 53rd. Matt Gagliardi finished in a tie for 61st with a two-day total of 174. Matt Davies and Jakob Chapman each finished in a tie for 66th with a two-day total of 176.
Franklin and Marshall took team honors with a two-day total of 580. F&M's Max Silverman took low-medalist with a two-day total of 3-under 139.
Alvernia is back in action on Saturday and Sunday for the 2026 MAC Men's Golf Championship at Golden Oaks in Fleetwood, Pa.
