Megan Novogratz is joining the Crusaders for her first year of coaching after graduating in 2007 from Alvernia. She graduated with a B.S. in elementary education and currently teaches 5th grade in the Owen J. Roberts School District. 

Throughout her four year career at Alvernia, she played four years of field hockey and two years of lacrosse. Novogratz was named team captain for field hockey for the 2004-2006 seasons and honored captain for the 2007 lacrosse season.

In field hockey, she was named PAC Player of the Year in 2006, Alvernia University Female Athlete of the Year in 2007 and NFHCA All-Academic Squad from 2005-2007.  She was a two-time member of the Second Team NFCHA South Atlantic Region and named First Team All-PAC three times in her career.  As a freshman, Novogratz was named to the womensfieldhockey.com All-Rookie Squad.   

At Alvernia, Novogratz holds the all time record for career assists with 33.  She is second all-time in goals and points with 76 and 185 respectively.  She is also part of the top scoring classmate duo in NCAA Division III history, scoring 401 total points along with teammate Becky Macchione from 2003-2006.

Megan Novogratz currently resides in Douglassville, Pa. and is pursuing a Masters degree in Special Education.
