Delaware Valley Sweeps Women’s Race, PSU-Berks Wins Men’s Race

Pritiskutch Second For Alvernia In Men’s Race

Reading, PA (Oct. 15, 2005) – Alvernia College freshman Joe Pritiskutch (Pottstown, PA/St. Pius X) finished second in a time of 29:30 to lead Alvernia in the men’s race and sophomore Katie O’Brien (Boothwyn, PA/Garnett Valley) paced Alvernia’s efforts with a seventh place finish in the women’s race in a time of 24:14 at the Alvernia College Cross Country Invitational Saturday morning at Sovereign Bank Park.

Delaware Valley’s Sara Brown and Jen DelPolito finished first and second in the women’s race to lead the Aggies to wins over Alvernia and PSU-Berks. Ronak Patel captured first place in the men’s race for PSU-Berks and led the Lions to a win over Alvernia.

Scoring was done head-to-head with Delaware Valley, PSU-Berks, and Alvernia fielding teams in the women’s race. Alvernia and PSU-Berks were the only schools to field complete teams in the men’s race.
