Dover, DE (Oct. 19, 2005) – Alvernia freshman Tim Marcinek (Philadelphia, PA/LaSalle) tallied a game-tying goal in the 22nd minute, but Wesley College responded with two more first-half goals to take a 3-1 decision in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference men’s soccer action Wednesday night at Wesley.

            Wesley (8-8, 4-2 PAC) opened the scoring when Trevor Zimmer knocked home a pass from Andrew Tescione less than seven minutes into play.  Marcinek knotted the score at 1-1 with his first goal of the season, an unassisted tally, but Wesley regained the lead less than five minutes later and added the insurance goal on a penalty kick with five minutes remaining in the opening half.

            The Wolverines, who held the 3-1 lead at the break needed just one save from goalie Edward Hunt to pick up their fourth PAC win of the season.

            The Crusaders (5-9-1, 4-3 PAC) who started 4-1 in conference play have dropped two straight PAC games with two remaining on the schedule.  They will travel to Immaculata University on Saturday and Neumann College next Tuesday.
