Reading, PA (Oct. 3, 2005) – Senior outside hitter Angela Myles (Allentown, PA/Central Catholic) notched a match-high 16 kills to lead Marywood University to a 3-1 win over Alvernia College Monday evening in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference women’s volleyball action at the Physical Education Center.

            Alvernia was led by senior outside hitter Amy Werley (Fleetwood, PA/Brandywine Heights) with 10 kills, two digs, and a block.  Freshman libero Lauren Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame) led the defensive efforts with 21 digs and Natalie Minnich (Tower City, PA/Williams Valley) had four blocks.

            The Crusaders (7-9, 1-3 PAC) will host Penn State Berks in non-conference action on Wednesday and return to the conference schedule this Saturday hosting College Misericordia at 1:00 p.m.
