Einsel Saves 10 For Crusaders

Reading, PA (Oct. 3, 2005) – Albright College scored a pair of goals in the final 15 minutes of play to earn a 2-1 win over Alvernia College Monday evening in non-conference women’s soccer action under the lights at Albright’s Shirk Stadium.

            Following 71 minutes of scoreless soccer, Alvernia sophomore Laura-Beth Diggs (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial), put the Crusaders (2-10-1) up 1-0 only to have Megan Gring answer for the Lions (9-3) three minutes later.  Jordan Smith tallied the final goal of the night with three minutes left to play to give Albright the 2-1 win.

            Alvernia keeper Katie Einsel (Mohnton, PA/Governor Mifflin) made 10 saves in net for the Crusaders who will host Wesley College Wednesday afternoon in a Pennsylvania Athletic Conference match-up.
