Sadowski’s 77 Leads Alvernia To 10th At Moravian Invitational

All Five Crusaders Under 85 As Team Posts 322

Bath, PA (Sept. 22, 2005) – Senior Jeff Sadowski (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) shot 6-over 77 to lead Alvernia College to a 322 total and 10th place out of 19 teams at the Moravian College Fall Invitational Thursday afternoon at Southmoore Golf Course.

            Sadowski carded three birdies on the day posting a 39 on the front and 38 on the back nine.  Sophomore Doug McConnell (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) shot 9-over 81, sophomore Steve Gerhart (Levittown, PA/Harry S. Truman) shot 81, and freshmen George VanHorn (Bernville, PA/The Hill School) and Will Tonking both shot 84 to round of the Crusaders’ scoring.

            Moravian College shot 304 to win the invitational.  Susquehanna’s Sean Jackson earned medalist honors as the only player to shoot 1-over 72.
