Junior Forward Tallies Three First-Half Goals

Box Score

Dallas, PA (Sept. 24, 2005) – Junior Megan Novogratz (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) scored three goals in a row all in the first half to lead Alvernia College to a 6-1 win over College Misericordia Saturday morning in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference field hockey action at Misericordia.

Junior Becky Macchione (Richland, PA/Conrad Weiser) opened the scoring for the Crusaders (6-3, 5-1 PAC) with an unassisted tally just over 60 seconds into play.  Novogratz followed with three goals over a 19-minute span to give Alvernia a 4-0 lead at the break.
