McConnell, Landis Shoot 78 At Albright

Crusaders Shoot 330 For Second Place

Reading, Pa. (Oct. 16, 2006) – Junior Doug McConnell (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) and freshman Jeremy Landis (Reading, PA/Central Catholic) both shot seven over 78 to lead Alvernia College to a 330 team total and second place out of four teams at the Albright College quad match hosted by Berkshire Country Club Monday afternoon.

            McConnell sank three birdies on the front nine and finished with four on the round.  Landis birdied 17 and 18 and shot 39 on both nines.  Junior Matt MacCrea (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) and Ryan Weaber (Lebanon, PA/Cedar Crest) both shot 87 and junior Cory McCuen (Chambersburg, PA/) posted a 94 in his first college match.

            Alvernia is done with the fall schedule and will resume in late March.
