Rosemont, Pa. (Oct. 18, 2006) – Sophomore outside hitter Jennifer Stigura (Barto, PA/Central Catholic) recorded a match-high 14 kills to help lead Alvernia College to a 3-0 win over Rosemont College Wednesday evening in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference women’s volleyball action at Rosemont.

            Alvernia racked up an impressive 15 kills on 19 attempts in game one, a 30-8 win for the guests.  The Crusaders won game two 30-16 and finished the night with a 30-17 win in the capper.

            Sophomore setter Lauren Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame) totaled 37 assists and four aces.  Stigura finished with a full stat line collecting seven aces and nine digs, both match highs.

            Alvernia will travel to the College of Notre Dame on Saturday.
