Crimi Finishes With 31 Assits

Reading, Pa. (Oct. 24, 2006) – Cabrini College earned a 34-32 decision in the opening game of the match and followed with close wins in games two and three for a 3-0 win over Alvernia College Tuesday evening in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference women’s volleyball action at the Physical Education Center.

            Cabrini (16-9, 7-4 PAC) was led by a trio of underclassman with sophomore captain Lindsay Martin (Torrance, CA/Bishop Montgomery) racking up a match-high 17 kills.  Freshman Katie Finfrock (Drexel Hill, PA/Haverford High) hammered down 13 and Alecia Weaver (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus) finished with 10.  Sophomore libero Danielle Finnegan (Brookhaven, PA/Sun Valley) finished with a match-high 15 digs.

            Alvernia (8-8, 5-4 PAC) got 17 kills from junior outside hitter Amy Sikorski (Topton, PA/Brandywine Heights) and a dozen more from Jenn Stigura (Barto, PA/Central Catholic).  Sophomore Lauren Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame) handed out 31 assists and led the team with nine digs.

            Alvernia will continue the conference schedule hosting Neumann College on Thursday.
