Allentown, Pa. (Oct. 9, 2006) – Sophomore Derek Stewart (Bernville, PA/Tulpehocken) shot 79 to lead Alvernia College to a 343 team total and sixth place at the Muhlenberg College Fall Golf Invitational Monday afternoon hosted by Lehigh Country Club.

            Freshman Jeremy Landis (Reading, PA/Central Catholic) shot 84 followed by juniors Doug McConnell (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) and Matt MacCrea (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) at 90.

            Alvernia will travel to Altoona on Thursday for the 36-hole ECAC South Region Tournament.
