Dallas, Pa. (May 6, 2006) - The Crusaders fell to Arcadia University this afternoon in the PAC Playoffs, to eliminate themsleves from the tournament.  Junior starter #Amanda Daher# (Phoenixville, PA/Phoenixville) took the loss after allowing seven runs over three innings.

Once again Alvernia was puzzled by the opposing pitcher, this time managing only four hits through six innings.  Sophomore Beth Jablonowski (Philadelphia, Pa/Archbishop Ryan) led the Crusaders with two hits, and junior Suzanne Fox (Glassboro, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) crushed a double to lead of the bottom of the sixth.    

Arcadia plated one run in the second inning, but added six more in the third.  The third inning saw Arcadia launch a grand slam, after they loaded the bases one two solid singles, and one Crusader error.  Still in the third inning, Daher gave up a two-run in the park homerun on a line-shot that scooted past Fox in center.  Arcadia delivered the deciding blow on yet another homerun, this time a solo-shot to left off the bat of Jenn Compton in the top of the sixth inning,
