Bethlehem, Pa. (Sept. 1, 2006) – Junior outside hitter Amy Sikorski (Topton, PA/Brandywine Heights) racked up a .575 hitting percentage with 24 kills on 40 attempts and just one error to lead Alvernia College to a 3-1 win over Rowan University in pool play of the Moravian Greyhound Premiere Women’s Volleyball Invitational Friday afternoon.

            Sophomore Jennifer Stigura (Barto, PA/Central Catholic) also reached double figures in kills with 11 while sophomore setter Lauren Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame) handed out 43 assists and Cassie Reber (Wyomissing, PA/Wilson) led the team with 14 digs.

            Alvernia advances to the Gold Bracket of the tournament and will face Rutgers-Newark and Swarthmore on Saturday.
