Sikorski Hammers Out 17 Kills In 3-0 Loss To Swarthmore

Junior Named To Greyhound All-Tournament Team

Bethlehem, Pa. (Sept. 2, 2006) – Alvernia College junior Amy Sikorski (Topton, PA/Brandywine Heights) paced the Crusaders with a team-high 17 kills during a 3-0 loss to Swarthmore College in the final match of the Greyhound Premiere Women’s Volleyball Invitational Saturday afternoon hosted by Moravian College.

            Sikorski, who was named to the All-Tournament team, hit .378 in four matches during the tournament and has more than doubled the number of kills by every other player on the roster with 77.  Sophomore Lauren Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame) handed out 28 assists from the setter position and Jennifer Stigura (Barto, PA/Central Catholic) led the team with 10 diggs.

            Alvernia will start the conference schedule on Thursday with an evening trip back to the Lehigh Valley to play Cedar Crest College.
