Edgemont, Pa. (Apr. 20, 2007) – Alvernia College sophomore Derek Stewart (Bernville, PA/Tulpehocken) shot 81 to lead Alvernia College to a 329 team total and third place at the Philadelphia University Quad Match Friday afternoon hosted by Edgemont Country Club.

            Junior Doug McConnell (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) and sophomore Will Tonking (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) both carded 82 and junior Ryan Weaber (Lebanon, PA/Cedar Crest) came in at 84.

            Alvernia and Albright College will compete in the two-day John Yocum Challenge Cup at Reading Country Club on Sunday and Berkshire Country Club on Monday.
