Wyoming, Pa. (Apr. 18, 2007) – Junior Doug McConnell (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) shot 79 to lead Alvernia to a 334 team total and 13th place out of 14 teams at the Wesley College Spring golf Invitational Wednesday afternoon hosted by Wild Quail Golf and Country Club.

            Sophomore Will Tonking (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) shot 81, freshman Jeremy Landis (Reading, PA/Central Catholic) finished at 84 and junior Ryan Rhodes (Sewell, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) carded a 90.

            Alvernia will return to action on Friday at the Philadelphia University Quad Match hosted by Edgemont Country Club.
