Dover, Del. (Apr. 28, 2007) – Alvernia College sophomore Tom Fraker (Carlisle, PA/Carlisle) scored two goals and freshman goalie Mark Lenahan (New Providence, NJ/New Providence) made nine saves in a 15-4 loss to Wesley College Saturday afternoon in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference men’s lacrosse action at Wesley.

            The host Wolverines (9-6, 6-1 PAC) scored five goals in the first and six in the second to open up an 11-1 halftime lead.  The lone first-half goal for the Crusaders (5-10, 2-5 PAC) was scored by junior Tom Novak (Pottstown, PA/Pottsgrove) early in the second quarter.

            Fraker scored the first and last goal of the fourth quarter and senior Adam Schmidt (Allentown, PA/Parkland) scored his fifth goal of the season in the final minute of the game.

            Alvernia wraps up the season tied or fifth in the conference, one spot out of postseason play.  Fraker led the way in goals with a school record 40, points (48), ground balls (109), and won 51 percent of faceoffs taken going 131-256.  Novak finished the year second in goals (33) and points (44), and sophomore Sean Cullen (Lincoln Park, NJ/Boonton) recorded a school record with 19 assists this season.
