COMPLETE RESULTS

Philadelphia, Pa. (Sept. 29, 2007) – Alvernia College sophomore Bridget Burger (Lansdale, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) ran the 5k women's race in a time of 21:38 to finish 18th individually at the Belmont Classic hosted by Cabrini College Saturday morning.

Burger had the second-best finish among Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) runners at the course that will host the conference race later this month. Also running for the Crusaders on Saturday were Lauren Rocchino (Philadelphia, Pa./Franklin Towne Center) who finished 91st of 125 runners in a time of 27:51. Rachel Spohn (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) finished 110th in a time of 30:22 and Veronica Marzen (Lehighton, Pa./Marian Catholic) was 111th in 30:36.

In the men's race, Alvernia posted a 19th place finish led by Eric Garcia (Reading, Pa./Reading) who finished 89th in 32:51. Aidan McCrossan was 90th in 32:58, Currie Mooney (Allentown, N.J./Allentown) was 122nd in 35:51, Bryan Otruba (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood) was 125th in 36:11, and Mike Bledsoe was 134th in 37:24.
