Reading, Pa. (March 26, 2009) - The Crusader Men's Tennis team fell 3-6 to King's College in their Freedom Conference opener at Angelica Park on Wednesday afternoon. With the loss Alvernia falls to 0-6, 0-1 Freedom on the season while King's improves to 2-4, 1-0 Freedom.
Alvernia got a 6-3, 6-4 win from
Ryan Lineaweaver (Robesonia, Pa./ELCO) at number two singles and
Zach Marsar (Sayville, NY) gave the Crusaders their second singles win with a 8-0 win at number six singles. The duo of
Morgan Davidheiser (Boyertown, PA/Boyertown) and David Scheffer (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown) earned a victory at #2 doubles.
