Grantham, Pa. (Apr. 13, 2012) - Alvernia University (5-4, 0-2) managed just one match win in doubles and another in singles play in a 7-2 loss at Messiah College (4-4, 2-1) Friday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference men's tennis action.

Dan Minnich (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra) won his doubles match at No. 1 with Nate Bauer (Washington Twp., N.J./Warren Hills Regional) then came back for a straight set win at No. 2 singles.

Alvernia continues conference play Saturday at Albright.
