Reading, Pa. (Apr. 14, 2012) - Alvernia University (6-3, 1-1) scored an impressive sweep of crosstown rival Albright College (2-11, 0-3) Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference men's tennis action at Albright.
The Crusaders dropped just six total games in doubles play before six straight-set wins in singles. In two of the six matches--
Dan Minnich (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra) at No. 2 and Will Gerber (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) at No. 3--Alvernia won without surrendereing a game. Minnich and
Nate Bauer (Washington Township, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) set the tone early with an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles.
The Crusaders return to the courts Tuesday at Arcadia.
