Wilkes Barre, Pa. (Sept. 22, 2012) - King's College (2-0) got off to a 2-1 start after doubles play then captured four singles matches in a 6-3 win over Alvernia University (1-2) Saturday afternoon in non-conference men's tennis action at King's.
The Crusaders got a doubles win at the No. 1 flight with
Nate Bauer (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) and
Dan Minnich (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra) winning 8-5. The two also earned a point apiece in singles play winning in three sets at both No. 1 and No. 2 singles.
Alvernia continues the tour of Freedom Conference schools next Saturday at Misericordia.
