Annville, Pa. (Apr. 8, 2014) - Alvernia University took an early lead with two wins in doubles play then split the singles matches for a 5-4 win over Lebanon Valley College Tuesday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference men's tennis action at LVC.

Dennis Sult (Newburgh, N.Y./Newburgh) and Dan Minnich (Palmyra, Pa./Lower Dauphin) continued their solid play at the top of the lineup winning 8-6 at No. 1 doubles then both won their singles matches in straight sets--Sult needing the 7-6 win in the second set.  LVC took straight-set wins at No. 3, 4, and 5 singles, but senior Sean Boyd (Churchville, Pa./Council Rock South) came through with a key win at No. 6 singles.

The Crusaders continue the conference schedule this Saturday hosting Elizabethtown College.
