Wilkes-Barre, Pa. (Sept. 23, 2014) - King's College (2-0) earned five points out of a possible six in singles matches to take a 7-2 win over Alvernia University (0-2) Tuesday afternoon in non-conference men's tennis action at King's.
The Monarchs went ahead 2-1 after taking the No. 1 and 2 doubles flights with the Alvernia team of Mike Brutto and
Colin MacCloskey getting the Crusaders on the board with a 9-8 (7-2) win at No. 3 doubles.
King's took each of the first five flights in singles play in straight sets with MacCloskey earning a second point with a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles.
Alvernia continues the non-conference schedule with a trip to Misericordia on Oct. 7
