Reading, Pa. (Apr. 12, 2016) - Alvernia University (4-7, 2-1) earned crucial wins at No. 4, 5, and 6 singles to take a 5-4 win over Albright College (1-11, 1-2) Tuesday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth Men's Tennis action at Angelica Park.
Alvernia got off to another great start with a 2-1 lead after doubles play.Â
Kyle Clark and
Colin MacCloskey earned an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles and
Antonio Gaetani and
Todd Unger picked up an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles.
Albright took an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles and got straight set wins at the top three singles matches.Â
Reid Hoff ran off a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 sinlges, Clark won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 5 singles and Gaetani earned a 6-2, 6-3 decision at No. 6.
Alvernia continues the conference schedule on Saturday at Messiah.
