Clarks Summit, Pa. (Mar. 20, 2017) - Alvernia University (5-2) rolled through Clarks Summit University (0-1) Monday afternoon in non-conference men's tennis action at Clarks Summit.

Alvernia opened the day with three convincing wins in doubles play.  Luke Hangan and Colin MacCloskey teammed for an 8-0 win at No. 1 while Alvernia won the No. 2 and 3 matches be identical 8-2 scores.  Todd Unger and Reid Hoff teamed for the win at No. 2 and Jimmy Souder and Antonio Gaetani took the win at No. 3.

Alvernia kept the momentum going through the singles matches winning five of six in straight sets.  MacCloskey ran into the only trouble of the day needing a 10-6 decision in the third set to seal the win at No. 2 singles.  Hoff and Gaetani took home 6-0, 6-0 wins at No 4 and 6 singles respectively.

Alvernia continues the non-conference portion of the spring schedule hosting Gwynedd-Mercy next Sunday.
