Bethlehem, Pa. (Dec. 8, 2018) - Alvernia University competed at the Lehigh Fast Times on Saturday, hosted by Lehigh University.
Alvernia was led by
Ivan Fegely, who broke the Alvernia University record in the high jump and had a top-ten finish in triple jump.
Fegely broke the high jump record with a mark of 1.80m on his final attempt at that height. In the triple jump, Fegely had a ninth place mark of 12.00m.
Julian Braddock had a top-20 finish in the long jump for Alvernia. Braddock finish in 18th with a mark of 5.99m.
Alvernia also competed in the shot put, with
Jason Scott and
Adam Loehr finishing in 23rd and 24th place, respectively. Scott also participated in the weight throw and finished in 24th place with a throw of 10.17m.
On the track,
Avery Lawrence led the way for Alvernia in the 200m. Lawrence finished in 24th place with a time of 24.26 seconds.
Dylan Bennett finished in 31st in the 200m, and Loehr and Ryand Long finished in 31st and 39th, respectively.
Loehr also made the finals in the 60m hurdles and finished in 23rd with a time of 9.60 seconds.
Alvernia has over a month off for winter break and will return to action on January 19th at Ursinus.
