Westminster, Md. (Nov.17, 2019) - Alvernia University went 1-2 at the Green Terror Duals Sunday hosted by McDaniel College.
Sophomore
Palmer Rodenhaber went 3-0 in heavyweight matches winning all three of his matches by fall. He opened with a pin of Eric Wilson as Alvernia defeated Penn State-Mont Alto, 38-9. He pinned McDaniel's Tristen Cook in 58 seconds and closed with a pin of John Fountain from Rowan Gloucester County in 6:45.
Gavin Hollingsworth was also 3-0 on the day at 157 with a technical fall, a major decision, and a decision.
Tanner Vogel was 2-1 at 165 including a 15-13 decision over Luke Lardarello (McDaniel).
Chase Smith as 2-1 with an early pin, and
Tonee Ellis was 2-0 at 197 with a technical fall and a major decision.
Robert Lawlor went 2-1 for the Wolves at 149 with a decision over Jack Coulston (PSU-Mont Alto) and a technical fall over Mike Rubino (Rowan).
Alvernia returns to action this Saturday hosting King's College.
