Reading, Pa. (June 2, 2021) - A day after receiving All-Region honors from d3basebal.com, graduate student Mike Cirilli was named a d3baseball.com All-American, as announced by the organization on Wednesday.

Cirilli earned Third Team All-American honors as a Utility/Pitcher for the Golden Wolves.

Cirilli was a threat for Alvernia at the plate, in the field, and on the mound in the 2021 season.He was just one of two Golden Wolves to start all 33 of Alvernia's games. Cirilli batted .375 with a team-high 45 hits. He drove in 22 runs while scoring a team-high 37 runs of his own. Cirilli led the MAC Commonwealth with 16 doubles. He also added two home runs, including a grand slam, on the season. As a second baseman, Cirilli finished the season with 78 putouts and 73 assists. He also turned 20 plays. In addition to playing second base, Cirilli also made 11 appearances as a relief pitcher for Alvernia. He finished the season with a 1.00 ERA over 18 innings pitched. Cirilli struck out 23 batters and allowed just eight hits and two runs. He finished the season with two wins, and was second in the MAC Commonwealth with six saves. 

In addition to his All-American honors, Cirilli was First Team All-Mid-Atlantic. He was also a First Team All-MAC Commonwealth honoree as both a second baseman and relief pitcher.
