BOX SCORE Carlisle, Pa. (Sept. 9, 2023) – Alvernia University (0-1) dropped their season-opener to Dickinson College (1-0) by a 9-0 decision on Saturday afternoon in non-conference men's tennis action Dickinson.
 
The Red Devils started out the day with a 3-0 sweep in doubles play. Lucas Berger and Jayden Lewis dropped #1 doubles by an 8-5 decision, and Thomas Figurelli and Luke Brisbois fell 8-2. Alec Verhagen and Ben Foster dropped #3 doubles by an 8-0 decision.
 
Alvernia kept each singles match close, including a tiebreaker set at #3 singles for Figurelli, but Dickinson completed the sweep for the 9-0 win.
 
Alvernia is back in action on September 16th at Urisnus.
