Golden Wolves Take 6th at Pat Lacey, Fifth at Unicorn Classic

Pittsburgh, Pa. (Nov. 10, 2025) - Alvernia Women's Bowling took sixth place at the Pat Lacey Memorial Tournament on Saturday and followed that with a fifth place finish at the Unicorn Classic on Sunday in women's bowling action out in Pittsburgh this weekend.

The Golden Wolves took sixth place with a 1-3 performance at the Pat Lacey Memorial Tournament with a total pin of 3,922 and an average of 156.9 per game played.

Alvernia defeated Pitt Bradford to open the day, 793-718. But, despite putting up their second 900+ score of the season with a 908, Alvernia fell to Lewis, 926-908. Alvernia then dropped its final two matches of the day against PSU Behrend and Hilbert, respectively. 

On Sunday at the Unicorn Classic Alvernia started out with a 939-786 win over Ursuline. The 939 marked Alvernia's highest team score of the season. After dropping a 946-889 match to PSU Behrend, Alvernia bounced back with an 816-736 win over Pitt Bradford. Alvernia then capped off the weekend with an 877-846 win over Hilbert.

The Golden Wolves are back in action on Saturday and Sunday at the first AMCC Round Robin of the season, hosted by William Smith.
