Golden Wolves Take Second at 2025-26 AMCC Championship

Pittsburgh, Pa. (March 22, 2026) - Alvernia Women's Bowling finished as the runner-up at the 2026 AMCC Women's Bowling Championship on Sunday at Pine Plaza Lanes in Pittsburgh, Pa.

The Golden Wolves advanced to Sunday and faced the top-seeded and defending AMCC Champions in the St. Vincent Bearcats. St. Vincent took the traditional team format match by a narrow margin of 832-821 to take the early mega match lead. Madilyn Jerzak led Alvernia in the traditional format with a total pinfall of 181.

The mega match then moved into the five set Baker series. The Bearcats got off to an early lead in the baker set, using a 206 to 139 in game two to jump out to a 70 pin lead. St. Vincent went on to take the Baker series by a total of 960-831 to secure the mega match win and defend its AMCC title.

Both Lacey Slaymaker and Mia Siminitus earned a spot on the AMCC All-Tournament team. 

Alvernia finished the 2025-26 season with 23 wins on the year.
