Bowling in Fifth After First AMCC Round Robin

Behrend, Pa. (Nov. 17, 2025) - Alvernia Women's Bowling went 3-3 in the first AMCC Round Robin of the season this weekend, hosted by Penn State Behrend. 

The Golden Wolves went 1-2 on Saturday and 2-1 on Sunday to sit in fifth place through the first AMCC Round Robin of the 2025-26 season. 

Alvernia fell to Hilbert College, 889-842, to start the day and dropped to 0-2 with a 1,007-859 loss. Alvernia then picked up a 955-938 win over Penn State Behrend to close out the first day.

Alvernia opened Sunday with an 856-657 win over PItt Greensburg and improved to 3-2 on the tournament with an 842-816 win over Pitt Bradford. Alvernia then finished at 3-3 on the tournament with a 943-759 loss to William Smith.

The results of this round robin will be combined with the results of February's AMCC Round Robin, which is hosted by Alvernia, to determine the teams in the postseason tournament for the AMCC. 

Alvernia is off until the new year. The Golden Wolves will be back in action on Saturday, January 10th at the Saint Vincent Greater Pittsburgh Classic.
