Pittston, Pa (February 7, 2025) - Alvernia University's (9-10-2, 7-8-2) Justin Pare recorded a program record five points to power the Golden Wolves to a 7-3 victory over King's College (8-12-1, 6-10-1) Friday night in a MAC men's ice hockey clash at King's.

Pare led the way with two goals and three assists for a new program record five points in a game. Pare broke the previous record of four which Hunter Alden and Jason Finan both held.

  • Alvernia made it 2-0 just a minute and 16 seconds later when Pare netted an unassisted goal to make it 2-0 Golden Wolves in the first three minutes.
  • The Monarchs grabbed one back just under a minute later when Ethan Hersant found the back of the net to make it 2-1 within the first four minutes.
  • Pare netted his second goal of the period in the final three minutes of the first period after assists from Sawyer Senio and Jack Natyshak gave Alvernia a 3-1 advantage heading into the first intermission.
  • The Golden Wolves pushed their lead to three, 4-1, with just over five minutes to play in the second period after Pare and Inglis assisted Will White to make it 4-1 Golden Wolves.
  • Edvin Robertsson made it a 5-1 lead in the final four minutes of the second period after assists from White and Pare to give the Golden Wolves a four goal, 5-1 advantage heading into the final intermission.
  • The Monarchs pulled within two after two more goals from Hersant to make it a 5-3 Alvernia lead with seven minutes to go in the third period.
  • The Golden Wolves then ended the night with two empty net goals in the final three minutes when Ochitwa and Vincent Servizzi both put the puck into the back of the empty net to secure the 7-3 victory for the Golden Wolves. Pare and Patrick Del Vecchio both recorded assists on Servizzi's goal.
