Annville, Pa (March 25, 2025) - Alvernia University (11-11) dropped two non-conference softball games to Lebanon Valley College (10-8) Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference softball doubleheader at Lebanon Valley. 

The Golden Wolves dropped the first game 10-2 in five innings to the Dutchmen and then fell in game two of the doubleheader 9-1.

How it Happened

• Lebanon Valley jumped out to an early lead in the first inning with a six run inning. The Dutchmen tallied two RBI singles, an RBI double and a three RBI bases clearing double to grab the 6-0 lead. 
• The Golden Wolves grabbed one back in the top of the second thanks to a Jaclyn Barbera sacrifice fly to right that scored Taylor McClain to make it a 6-1 ballgame. 
• LVC responded with a solo homer to right field in the bottom of the second inning to push the lead back to six, 7-1. 
• The Dutchmen tacked on three more runs in the bottom of the fourth after a two RBI single and a sacrifice fly made it 10-1. 
• The Golden Wolves added one final run in the top of the fifth after an LVC error allowed an Alvernia run to score but it was not enough as LVC secured the 10-2 victory in game one.

How it Happened 

• The Dutchmen grabbed the early lead once again with a run in the bottom of the first and then two runs in the second to take a 3-0 lead. 
• LVC then pushed the lead to six after three runs in the home half of the third after a run scored on a fielder's choice and then two runs scored on an RBI double to left to make it a 6-0 game. 
• The Golden Wolves pulled one back in the top of the fourth inning thanks to a Meryn Bellacima RBI single but the Dutchmen responded with three runs in the home half of the inning to secure the 9-1 victory over Alvernia.
