Golden Wolves Compete at Widener Final Qualifier

Chester, Pa. (May 12, 2025) - A small group of Men's and Women's Track and Field athletes competed at the Widener Final Qualifier on Monday at Widener University.

Spencer Hahn reset his own school record by .03 of a second, taking 16th in the 800m with a time of 1:52.24.

Brandon VanSchaick took 10th in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.73 seconds, and Luke St. Pierre took 16th in the 400m with a time of 50.62 seconds.

Leo Tirao was Alvernia's final top-20 finisher on the men's side, taking 12th in the high jump with a mark of 1.84 meters.

Caitlin Sternberg led Alvernia's trio of women's track and field athletes competing, taking 13th in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.92 seconds.

Rosnelly Sanchez de Aza and Paige Jerrahian competed in the 800m. Sanchez de Aza took 39th with a time of 2:22.99, and Jerrahain took 44th with a time of 2:25.73. Both set new personal records with their performances.

Alvernia's AARTFC qualifiers will compete at this year's championship later this week.
