Golden Wolves Take on Kutztown DII/DIII Challenge

Kutztown, Pa. (Sep. 13, 2025) - Alvernia University Men's Cross Country competed at the Kutztown University Division II/Division III Challenge on Saturday morning at Kutztown University.

The Golden Wolves took ninth place in the field with a team score of 239.

Sam Martinez paced the Golden Wolves on the 8K course with a 32nd place finish on a time of 27:54.00. He set a new 8K personal-record by just over five seconds.

Spencer Hahn finished second for Alvernia and 58th overall with a time of 29:06.5, and Ryan Dennison took 73rd with a time of 29:59.90. James Henry took 92nd with a time of 31:48.00 and Younes Naimi rounded things out for Alvernia with a 101st place finish on a time of 35:01.20

West Chester's Josh Miller took first place with a time of 25:54.90. DeSales' Joey Wilson was the top Division III finisher with a 3rd place time of 26:13.60. The host Golden Bears took first place as a team with a score of 44 points.

Alvernia is back in action on Saturday, September 27th at the Dickinson College Long-Short Invitational.
