Dallas, Pa. (Jan. 10, 2025) - Alvernia University returned from the holiday break and secured a 35-5 win over MAC opponent Misericordia University on Saturday afternoon in Women's Wrestling action Misericordia. 

After a double forfeit at 103 pounds, Alvernia got on the board as Remiah Rivera pinned her opponent in just 33 seconds. Alvernia grabbed wins by forfeit at three additional weight classes to take a 20-0 lead following Rivera's pin.

The Golden Wolves pushed their lead to 25-0 with Kathryn Berger recording a fall in 1:06, and Alvernia took the 35-0 win with two additional wins by forfeit. The Cougars picked up the final points of the afternoon with a fall over Alvernia at 207 pounds. But, Alvernia picked up the 35-5 win.

The Golden Wolves are back in action on Sunday, January 18th with a 10:00 AM home dual against Delaware Valley University.
