Five Golden Wolves Earn NWCA Women’s Scholar All-American Honors

Manheim, Pa. (March 18, 2026) - Five Alvernia University Women's Wrestlers earned NWCA Scholar All-American honors for their performances in the classroom and on the mat as announced by the National Wrestling Coaches Association Wednesday. 

In order for student-athletes to qualify for the award, they must be a top-eight finisher at nationals and carry a 3.00 cumulative GPA, be a national qualifier with a 3.25 cumulative GPA, or wrestle in at least 15 matches during the season and have a 3.50 cumulative GPA. 

Elizabeth Adebola, Ahnika Hoover, Macenzie Hunter, Grace Molloy and Sophie Sharp all earned Scholar All-American honors for the Golden Wolves. 

Elizabeth Adebola recorded the best record for the Golden Wolves in 2025-2026 with a 20-8 overall record. Macenzie Hunter followed Adebola with a 17-8 record including 14 wins by fall. 

A total of 540 student-athletes across 92 institutions were honored for their academic success while competing during the season.
