Anyia Leads Alvernia at Franklin and Marshall’s Coach I Invitational

Lancaster, Pa. (Jan. 24, 2026) - Britney Anyia posted a first and second place finish to lead Alvernia at the Franklin and Marshall Coach I Invitational on Saturday.

Anyia took first place in the high jump with a personal record mark of 1.60m, taking first place by .05 meters and coming just .03 meters shy of breaking an indoor Alvernia record. Her mark is good for 35th in Division III. Anyia then followed that with another personal record mark of 5.34 meters in the long jump to take second place. Both her high jump mark and long jump mark qualify for her AARFTC regionals.

In addition to Anyia's two personal records, Alvernia also saw three more personal records fall on Saturday. Brooke Hall set a new PR in the 400m with a time of 1:09.40 to take 21st place, and she also posted a PR in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 11.16 seconds to take 33rd place. Samantha Wallace posted an indoor personal record in the pole vault with a mark of 2.13 meters to take 19th place.

Giavanni Gibson joined Anyia with a top-20 finish, taking 15th place in the 400m with a time of 1:07.28. That marked her first time competing in the 400m indoors.

Alvernia is back in action in the Plex on Saturday, January 31st for the Golden Wolves Shootout.
