Anyia, Castillo Lead Golden Wolves on Day Two of the MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships

Reading, Pa. (February 28, 2026) - Alvernia University's Britney Anyia and Mylina Castillo led the Golden Wolves on Saturday on the final day of the Middle Atlantic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Alvernia at the Tom and Helen Flynn PLEX. 

Anyia added to her impressive weekend with a second place finish in the pentathlon and a third place finish in the high jump. Anyia posted a 1.50m mark in the high jump to take third in the high jump and earn Third Team All-MAC honors. Anyia then recorded a second place finish in the pentathlon with a total score of 2,852 points to earn Second Team All-MAC honors. Anyia recorded a fourth place finish in the 60m hurdles, a second place finish in the high jump, a ninth place finish in the shot put, another second place finish in the long jump and rounded things out with a fourth place finish in the 800m. Anyia finished with gold, silver and bronze medals at the championships and became the first Alverna Women's Track and Field athlete to earn All-MAC honors in a multi event with Susanna Pirollo being the last to do so in 2022. 

Mylina Castillo recorded a third place finish in the triple jump with a 10.93m mark to earn Third Team All-MAC honors. Castillo's third team honor marks her fourth All-MAC honor of her career in the triple jump. 

Giavanni Gibson rounded out the Golden Wolves on the podium on the second day of the championships with an eighth place finish in the pentathlon. Gibson recorded 2,067 points on the day and recorded a fifth place finish in the 60m hurdles, a seventh place finish in the high jump, an eighth place finish in the shot put, a tenth place finish in the long jump and rounded out the event with a third place finish in the 800m. 

Paige Jerrahian recorded a personal best time in the 800m with a 2:23.19 time which bested her previous best by over a second and a half and was good enough for a ninth place finish. Angelise Rodriguez rounded out the Golden Wolves with a personal best mark in the triple jump with a 10.47m mark and a ninth place finish. 

The Golden Wolves are back in action next Saturday when they travel back up to New York to the Armory Track & Field Center for the AARTFC Indoor Track & Field Championships.
