Reading, Pa. (May 20, 2026) - Four Alvernia University Track & Field student-athletes earned Outdoor Track & Field All-Region honors as announced by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Tuesday. 

Student-athletes earn All-Region honors by posting top eight finishes in their respective regions.  The regions used for this award – Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, Northeast, South, and West. 

Alvernia's Britney Anyia earned All-Region honors in the Mid-Atlantic region in both the Women's Triple Jump and the Long Jump. Anyia posted the fourth best mark in the region in the triple jump with a 11.21m mark at the 2026 MAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Anyia also ranked sixth in the Mid-Atlantic region in the long jump with a mark of 5.57m which came at the Messiah Invitational. 

Trip Freitag recorded the third best mark in the Mid-Atlantic region in the javelin with a mark of 61.70m at the 2026 MAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Freitag's mark also set a new Alvernia program record. 

Spencer Hahn recorded the fifth best 800m time in the Mid-Atlantic region with a time of 1:51.98 at the 2026 MAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships en route to a first place finish. Hahn also set a program record with his 800m time which broke his own record. 

Christian Medina rounded out the Golden Wolves with All-Region honors with the fourth best mark in the region in the shot put. Medina posted a mark of 15.45m at the 2026 MAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships en route to a third place finish. Medina's mark also set a new program record for the Golden Wolves.
