Reading, PA (Sept. 12, 2005) – Senior Amy Werley (Fleetwood, PA/Brandywine Heights) and sophomore Amy Sikorski (Topton, PA/Brandywine Heights) had 15 and 17 kills respectively and freshman setter Caitlin Celia (Douglassville, PA/Daniel Boone) racked up 41 assists as Alvernia College defeated DeSales University, 3-0, Monday evening in non-conference women’s volleyball action at the Physical Education Center.

            Alvernia (4-3) ripped off 20 kills in a .444 hitting effort in the first game, and added 12 kills in the second and 15 more in the third.  Senior Laura Wilson (Rising Sun, MD/Rising Sun) led the team with five service aces and freshman libero Lauren Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame) had a game-high 13 digs.

            Alvernia will host cross-town rival Albright College in a non-conference match on Thursday.
