Reading, PA (Sept. 8, 2005) – Sophomore outside hitter Amy Sikorski (Topton, PA/Brandywine Heights) had a team-high 16 kills in 28 attempts to lead Alvernia College to a 3-0 sweep of Cheyney University Thursday evening in non-conference women’s volleyball action at the Physical Education Center.

            Alvernia hit .381 in the opening game, a 30-11 decision.  The Crusaders allowed Cheyney just five points on serve in the second and third games combined winning the final two games 30-15 and 30-11. 

            Freshman setter Caitlin Ceila (Douglassville, PA/Daniel Boone) handed out 26 assists for the Crusaders and freshman Lauren Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame) led the team with nine digs.
