Bethlehem, Pa. (Sept. 1, 2006) – Junior Amy Sikorski (Topton, PA/Brandywine Heights) paced Alvernia College with a team-high 12 kills on 25 attempts in a 3-0 loss to Moravian College Friday afternoon in opening day action at the Moravian Greyhound Premiere Women’s Volleyball Invitational at Breidegam Fieldhouse.

            Sophomore setter Lauren Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame) handed out 23 assists for the Crusaders (0-1) and all six players recorded at least two digs led by Sikorski with seven.  Moravian got a match-high 13 kills from Jenna Wallace and 29 assists from Valerie Korsak.

            Alvernia will play Rowan University in pool play Friday afternoon and then advance to bracket play on Saturday.
