Reading, Pa. (Mar. 18, 2008) – Penn State-Berks earned two of three doubles points and held on for a 5-4 win over Alvernia College Tuesday afternoon in non-conference men's tennis action at Angelica Park.

Alvernia sophomore Ryan Lineaweaver (Robesonia, Pa./ELCO) teamed with freshman Eric Snyder (Easton, Pa./Notre Dame) to earn a point for the Crusaders (1-2) at No. 3 doubles and earned a point on his own at No. 5 singles. Senior Phil Snyder (Easton, Pa./Notre Dame) earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles for Alvernia and fellow senior Kyle Levengood (Fleetwood, Pa./Brandywine Heights) won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 4 singles.

Alvernia will continue the non-conference Reading tour with a trip to Albright College next Tuesday.
